Welcome

This blog will display images from my series "coming of age, then and now". I began with my children, nieces and family friends back in the mid 1990's. I shot in black and white, 2 1/4" for many years. I returned to this theme in color digital work beginning in 2003. Most of these photographs were taken along the Maine and Massachusetts coasts ("Eastland"), many on islands in Casco Bay near my home. Additionally, I will display work from travels outside of New England.

My work is displayed in galleries and collected by museums. It also appears in print in the form of book covers. I enjoy to process of collaborating in shooting for book covers and welcome the opportunity to do so in the future. Examples of book covers including my photographs can be found at:
I am actively shooting, much of it in my studio in South Freeport (see the "Siblings" post for examples) and in Portland, Maine. I welcome contact with other photographers, galleries, collectors, models and others who enjoy photography. I am represented in Maine by Susan Maasch Fine Art.
